As a poet, folasayo draws heavily on love themes. Her poetry is intense and passionate with lyrical potentials. These romantic verses exposes us to a vulnerable and compassionate side of the artiste. Her performance as a spoken word poet and actress is dramatic. 

Because she sees all art as one, folasayo employs the use of various media especially black and white art photography, music and dance to accentuate the emotional depth of these poems.

Her visual art is colorful, lively and unpretentious. She creates with the unconstrained innocence of a self-indulging artist. Folasayo frames most of her own art using a technique she developed (US patent pending). The technique reinforces canvas and suspends Plexiglas a few inches above the finished work with stainless steel bases and caps such that it gives an illusion of framing.
